I thought of authenticity as just “being yourself” but I feel like it’s deeper than that.
I feel like authenticity is a whole lifestyle. It means setting your life up in a way that matches who you are instead of trying to change who you are to match the life you’re “supposed to” have. It’s letting yourself do what’s natural.
It’s taking the career that matches you, the relationship, and everything else in life — the whole life.
“Being myself” is great but I also have to live like myself. I have to do things in a way that matches me and in a way that makes sense for me.
Authenticity means having faith in myself, giving myself the authority to “be”. It means letting go. Being imperfect, and seeing the acceptance of imperfection as the ideal place to be.
